Incident #1 – MI13002560

Public Assistance Sought For Break & Enter Suspects

On May 7th 2013 at 204am, Midland Police Service were on foot patrol in the area of Scott Street and Irwin Street. At 220am, the officer on foot patrol heard banging coming from an address on Scott Street. The officer approached the residence and observed a suspect running from the residence knocking over garbage cans.

Request For Public Assistance - Pedestrian Struck

Midland Police are requesting assistance from members of the public to help locate a possible person of interest involved in a pedestrian struck motor vehicle collision on May 6th 2013. The incident occurred at approximately 2 pm at the intersection of King Street and Yonge within the Town of Midland.

Huronia Museum Break & Enter

The Midland Police are seeking assistance in relation to a break and enter that occurred at the Huronia Museum and Indian Village. The break in occurred over the weekend between the 19th of April 2013 and the 22nd of April 2013. The culprits forced open a rear door to the Village and once inside removed furs from inside the longhouse.

Two Schools Placed In "Hold & Secure"

On April 25, 2013, at approximately 1:40 pm. Midland Police Service received a call from Monsignor Castex Catholic School in west Midland. It was reported that a student may have seen male in a wooded area to the north and west of the school with a firearm at approximately 1:00 pm.

The one who actually writes on the building is wearing a large black backpack, out at 1:20am, wearing an unusual narrow brimmed hat which he likely wears routinely to assert his 'individuality'. We need to talk to him about exhibiting his 'artwork' appropriately.

Lottery Fraud Scam


Phone and mail scams typically target senior citizens

Midland residents beware of persons calling stating that they have won a lottery. The callers target vulnerable victims, telling them they have won a large sum of money. The caller will tell the victim that they need to wire money to them in order to claim the prize. The location of the wires can be out of country or in country.

911 Pocket Dials A Nuisance


Pocket Dials Cost Us All

Midland Police Service is joining voices with countless other police services asking for your assistance in reducing an ever-increasing number of nuisance 911 calls placed by cellphones stored in pockets, purses and bags. These 911 'pocket dials' calls usually result from an object depressing a key on the cellphone's keyboard that is programmed to dial 911 in the case of emergencies.
