Breach Of Probation

On Monday July 10th, 2017 at approx 8:30 pm, members of the Midland Police Service responded to a complainant of suspicious activity in the area of the CN bridge on Highway #12. While in the area, officers located a female that police held a warrant for as she failed to appear in court. Police arrested the female suspect on the outstanding warrant.

On the 07 July 2017 at approximately 7:10 pm, Midland Police Service responded to an impaired driving call in a parking lot on the south side of Midland.
The investigation revealed the male suspect was impaired by alcohol. Subsequently, the male was arrested and transported to the Midland Police Service.

On the 05 July 2017, Midland Police Service commenced an investigation into a mischief to a motor vehicle. On the 30 June 2017, the investigation revealed the male suspect attended a residence located on the east side of Midland and caused damage to a vehicle parked in that driveway.

Theft From Vehicles

On June 28th 2017 members of the Midland Police Service responded to the area of the Town Dock for the report of youths entering parked vehicles in that area. Upon arrival police observed a male suspect inside a parked vehicle. Police approached the suspect who ran from police. After a brief foot pursuit, police arrested the suspect.

Utter Threats/Break and Enter/Arson(Attempted)/Mischief/ Possession of Stolen Property

Criminal Charges

On the June 30th, 2017, the Midland Police service received a call from a home owner located at the South end of town. The complainant advised they were receiving text messages from an angry family member who had claimed to have broke into the complainants home and damaged property. Police arrived on scene to find the complainants home heavily damaged and filled with propane or natural gas.

(MIDLAND, ON) – On Saturday July 2, 2016 at approximately 1:50pm, the Midland Police Service (MPS) responded to a report of a male being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot at 16845 Highway 12, Midland (Walmart Plaza).

Corby STOTT (29 yrs) of Wyevale, ON was treated at the scene and transported to Georgian Bay Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
